During the COVID pandemic period the NDIS has allowed a certain amount of flexibility in the use of your NDIS funding. One of these areas has been the use of low-cost assistive technology.
What does this mean to you as an NDIS participant? It means that you are now able to purchase computer tablets or iPads for which NDIS will pay a MAXIMUM of $750.
The condition is that you are using the device for social and community participation and/or telehealth pruposes during this COVID period. Depending on your plan budget, funds can either be drawn from Core or Capacity Building categories.
We were recently able to assist a number of participants purchase their devices. Before, you go ahead and make a purchase, let us know, and we will review your budget and let you know how best to use your funds.
